ENGRAINED was built on a single truth: the most important things about you — where you're from, who carried you, what shaped you before you had a say — you didn't choose any of it. It was already there. Running through you the way blood runs through veins. Silently. Permanently.

The exhibit makes that visible. Not as a concept. As something you walk through and feel.

The work on the walls comes from more than one hand. Alongside ENGRAINED's illustration system, a small number of local artists whose work is rooted — not decorative, not made for a wall but made from something lived — will be part of what fills the rooms.
